Voice Dot will enable the visually impaired person to read & write electronic documents, and to communicate with the world through the Internet.
Voice Dot is built around a plug-in architecture, which supports third party plug-ins for supporting custom applications. For instance applications like Lotus Notes, Acrobat reader or Tally can be made accessible using the plug-ins. Voice Dot supports Microsoft’s SAPI 5.1 (Speech Application Programming Interface) and MSAA (Microsoft’s Active Accessibility). It uses Microsoft’s TTS synthesizer to render speech output. |
